Lean in Real Close, Squint Your Eyes and Spy

Do you see it? Right there in the center.

light at the end of the tunnel

Yes my friends, that is a small light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Why a light, you ask?

Well tomorrow morning, like so many other Americans I will be getting up, getting a shower, dressing in professional atire, chugging my coffee AND heading off to work!!

I’ll wait for the cheers and confetti.

Tomorrow morning I will begin my “career” as a substitute teacher.  I am anxious, excited and damn relieved to be earning some money.

On Saturday I began my “other career” as a food demonstrator (read sample passer-outer). I spend 6hrs on Saturdays and Sundays asking “would you like to sample…?”

After this week is through, I will have earned about $450!! HUGE money for a girl like me!! I can’t wait to see that check come in!

I suspect that this week posts will be sparse. I have Friday’s post in the works but other than that, not so sure. I do not sub on Tuesday so I might be able to write some then.

Until then I leave you with the lyrics: “working 9 to 5, what a way to make a living. Barely, gettin’ by, it’s all takin and no givin’.”

Enjoy your week!

Thank you for commenting too (smart ass!) And for the Congrats. I loved subbing. I wish I could have someone do my lesson plans always so I could stay in the classroom. I suck at the planning, follow through part. That is why I can’t go back. I just can’t keep that part of my act together.

Thanks for commenting Justin. I can’t imagine working up to where I am. I feel like I am barely treading water here. But I like the way it sounds. I’m off to check out your blog. If money is the root of good, debt is definitely the root of all evil.

Thank you Travis. I sure did. I loved being back in the classroom. I only wish someone would write all my lesson plans for me so I could continue to teach that way. :)
