Where’s the Debt? December 2011

December 5, 2011

UGH!

Can we please not talk about this right now?

No? I have to stay knowledgeable about my debt?

Great, I’m so excited.

The reason I’m so reluctant to discuss this is that I’M NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT MY DEBT!

I hate this. I have yet to make extra money to pay on it. Well, I am making two small payments each month. One $25 payment on the Dell Account that is owned by my mother, I never miss that payment since it affects her credit. I also pay on one MasterCard since the balance is relatively small (just under $500 now). That’s it though.

I did try to make a step in the right direction. I signed up with a debt management company, CareOne Credit and I was so excited to get started. I wasn’t going to be making huge payments and I would have been debt free in 48 months. However, I quickly discovered that right now just isn’t the time. I’m not making enough money.

I truly hope to be starting this after the first of the year. I’m going to start substitute teaching and I’m going to work very hard to make the payments. It’s really just 3 working days to earn it so I’m very hopeful that I can do this.

I WANT TO DO THIS!

I need to start making payments, I don’t want to be telling you guys in a few months that I’m filing bankruptcy.

Granted this is a debt settlement company. I will be paying less on my balances than I originally owed. It’s unfortunate but at this point there’s not much else I can do. Maybe someday I’ll be rich like Dave Ramsey and I can go back and pay them everything I once owed (that’s wishful thinking on my part, right?).

So lets get through December (NOT my favorite month of the year) and start 2012 off with my first debt payment in a LONG TIME!

Ito was in your shoes only working 3 days up to my neck in debt but i opened my eyes. Yes its December people are busy offer to babysit for a few dollars, wash dogs, do anything even if you only earn 40 dollars its money you didnt have. I collect cans and sell them $10 every 6 weeks. I collect copper wire about $2o a year, i wash a neighbours dog at their home every fortnight for $10.00 this is $260 a year, i do paid surveys and at christmas i wrap presents for friends who cant be bothered doing it $5 to $10.00 per person so open your eyes and look for the money you can make, once you look outside the square there nothing but dollar signs.

May I ask why you don’t just get a full-time minimum wage job? Even $7/hr would be over a thousand a month.
