Yea, Yea, Yea!
I know, it’s been over 3 months since I last blogged. I got into a blogging funk and I couldn’t find my way out of it.
I was frustrated when I saw my statistics plummet. I figured I was doing something wrong with this here blog. It took me awhile to realize a few things.
I don’t need a lot of readers for this blog to be effective. Sure, I’d love to have more but the point of this blog was two-fold. The main reason was to help myself get out of debt. The secondary reason was to spread my story so that I could used as an example to the younger folks on how bad debt, especially credit cars can be.
Along the way I lost sight of the most important reason and began to focus on turning this into a hugely popular blog. I wanted to get sponsorship opportunities, advertising, review and giveaways, etc. I spent hours and hours trying to learn everything I could about blogging. And in the end, my blog suffered.
Counter productive, wouldn’t you agree?
I’m still interested in turning this into a better blog and because of that:
BloggyCon is a two day conference focusing on building a better blog and becoming a better blogger.
I am able to attend this because it is just a 20 minute drive from my home and I am volunteering, making a nearly $300 ticket, free for me!
I’m very excited to learn more about blogging and I hope I can be inspired to focus my blog better and return to writing about my situation.
I’m not forgetting the main reasons behind blogging but I’m hoping the next two days gives me what I need to return to the “therapy” that I had come to love.
I’ll be tweeting from my account if you wish to follow my time there. Or you can follow all tweets from the conference by searching the hashtag .
Thank you for still standing by me and continuing to read this little blog.
I also blog at A Five Star Life. I write about anything that comes to mind but try to focus on finding the good in daily life.

Thank you very much! One thing I learned at BloggyCon is to forget the # of people reading and just blog. That’s what I got caught up in a few months back. But I’m forgetting the numbers now. I’m blogging for me and for the people who read, no matter how few/many may read.
