Movin’ on up…to the Campus Area

August 17, 2011

Today I feel 10 pounds lighter.

As things fall into place I feel the stress just pouring out of me.

Today I found a place to live. I’m going to move into campus family housing. It’s not an ideal situation but I’m going to do everything in my power to make it work.

The goal is to have my kids with me for a full week at a time, every other week. Due to the location of this apartment, there’s going to be a lot of back and forth driving on my part to get them to and from school. If I’m doing this during the weeks they are with me, then I really won’t be able to substitute teach. And my youngest, who is starting kindergarten is only going to school half days, in the afternoon, so I’ll need to figure something out there.

I am certain that I WILL make this work!

With the student loans covering my tuition and housing expenses, the money I make working will cover all other expenses, including DEBT REDUCTION!

This is a good thing because, unfortunately Capital One has just sued me for $1900. :/ I hate that it’s come to this and I still REALLY want to pay on my bills. I’m hoping I can work out an arrangement.

I contacted the collection agency dealing with my Chase account and they are not willing make a payment plan. They want 2 payments of about $1100 a piece. I couldn’t help but laugh at them on the phone. The gal didn’t like that too much.

In any case, I’m moving forward and I’ll be able to start focusing on the debt (and school) by October 1st! I can’t wait! I WILL be Debt Free, except for school loans by 2015!!

I also blog at A Five Star Life. I write about anything that comes to mind but try to focus on finding the good in daily life.
